Firefighting PPE
Fire fighting is not only physically demanding but also extremely dangerous. In addition to fighting flames, firefighters must also face smoke, water, hot fall objects or collapsed floors. Moreover, they have to act under constraints of time, as they often have only a few minutes to get the occupants safe from burning structures. It is impossible to extinguish fires without exposing the personnel to the hazards, but in most cases, bodily injury can be avoided. Modern firefighters wear a complete range of personal protective equipment to protect themselves, and their correct use, combined with skill and caution, can prevent body injuries.
